North Dade Justice Center has a mamava lactation pod available to breastfeeding and pumping mothers, who need to express milk for their infants.
Mamava lactation suites, or pods, are freestanding spaces that provide a clean, comfortable and private option to breastfeed or pump. The Mamava Solo model to be installed at the North Dade Justice Center is designed specifically for women at work. All Mamava pods are accessed through the free Mamava app, which guides mom to a pod’s location, opens the pod with the touch of a button, and allows mom to customize lighting and airflow. Using the app, moms can also leave digital notes of encouragement for other moms and listen to soothing sounds.
