Here’s a look at some fun facts and tips to help you make the most of your visit to this iconic park.
SeaWorld Orlando is home to some incredible aquatic exhibits, including the Shark Encounter, which features one of the world’s largest underwater viewing tunnels. The park also boasts the largest single-tank aquarium in the world, housing a variety of species in a massive 700,000-gallon habitat.
Travel Mom Tip: Don’t miss the Shark Encounter. Walking through the underwater tunnel, surrounded by sharks and other marine creatures, is an awe-inspiring experience that your kids will love. It’s also a great opportunity to teach them about the different species and the importance of shark conservation.
SeaWorld Orlando is known for its thrilling rides, but it also offers plenty of attractions for younger children. While older kids and adults can enjoy adrenaline-pumping coasters like Mako, Manta, and Kraken, there are also gentler rides for little ones, such as the Sea Carousel and the Sesame Street-themed rides in Sesame Street Land.
Travel Mom Tip: If you’re traveling with kids of different ages, Sesame Street Land is a must-visit. Not only can younger kids enjoy the rides, but they can also meet their favorite characters and participate in interactive shows. The area is designed to be family-friendly, ensuring that everyone has a great time.
SeaWorld Orlando is famous for its animal shows, where visitors can see dolphins, sea lions, and orcas perform breathtaking tricks. These shows are not only entertaining but also educational, offering insights into the behaviors and natural habitats of these incredible animals.
Travel Mom Tip: Plan your day around the showtimes to ensure you don’t miss any of the major performances. The Dolphin Adventures and Orca Encounter shows are highlights, showcasing the intelligence and agility of these marine mammals. Arrive early to get good seats, and consider sitting in the splash zone if your kids don’t mind getting wet!
For a more hands-on experience, SeaWorld Orlando offers various interactive animal encounters. From feeding dolphins to meeting penguins, these experiences allow your kids to get up close and personal with some of the park’s most popular residents.
Travel Mom Tip: Book your animal encounters in advance, as they can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. The Dolphin Encounter is particularly popular and offers a memorable opportunity for your kids to learn about and interact with these friendly creatures.
One of the newest additions to SeaWorld Orlando is Sesame Street Land, a vibrant and immersive area designed specifically for young children. This section of the park brings the beloved characters of Sesame Street to life with themed rides, play areas, and interactive experiences.
Travel Mom Tip: Take a stroll down Sesame Street and let your kids explore the interactive features, such as Elmo’s Window and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck Challenge. The area is perfect for preschoolers and offers plenty of opportunities for imaginative play.
