Mothers looking for a private place at RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport) to nurse their infants have two Mamava lactation pods to choose from, one placed in each terminal.

The 4-by-8-foot breastfeeding and breast pumping friendly pods contain benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet and a door that can be locked.

You can also ask Raleigh-Durham Airport info desk or admin office for help in finding other comfortable and quiet spot to breastfeed or pump if the pods are occupied with long wait and you desperately need to breast pump.

State of North Carolina breastfeeding law allows nursing mothers to breastfeed openly in public places.

Friendly Airports for Mothers (FAM) Improvement Act requires Large, Medium, and Small hub airports to maintain a lactation area for nursing mothers and a baby changing table in at least one men’s and one women’s restroom in each passenger terminal building. Large/Medium hub airports must comply by FY2021. Small hub airports must comply by FY2023.
