Across from Gate D1 in Terminal  D is a dedicated Nursing Room for breastfeeding and breast pumping moms traveling through Washington Dulles International Airport. The rooms were added in 2016 as part of an effort to improve family and mom friendliness of the airport. Mothers with manual and electric pumps will find the room accommodating to their needs.

Breastfeeding here is optional and not required as might be incorrectly perceived. Nursing others can openly breastfeed throughout the airport if they are comfortable doing so, the state of Virginia breastfeeding law protect their right to do so.
