I applaud the Convention Center staff for being wonderfully accomodating when I was there for Premiere Orlando Hair/Beauty Show, 2016. I emailed their general info address: , when I couldn't find accomodations to breast pump on their website. Asked for a quiet room with chair/outlet, could they help. A lovely woman, Gwen (), resonded in a day or two and told me they'd make arrangments in one of their empty offices on level one behind the conference registration-B.
Before the show began, during setup, I went and found the Conference Center liason, Alinda (yes, Linda with an A - she's the super busy woman in charge of everything there), introduced myself and asked if she could show me where to go for the next 3 days. I was taken back to their office area and shown a big room with lots of tables and chairs. Nothing fancy, but perfect! Completely away from the hustle bustle of 60K people upstairs on the exhibit floor.
They even made a sign for me to tape on the outside of the door "Room in Use- Do not enter at this time." As a FTM I couldn't say thank you enough for their thoughtfulness and despite not having a dedicated pumping room, there was no hesitation making a temporary one for me. Don't be afraid to tell folks what you need and ask for space! I flew back to VA 3 days later with 100+oz of milk for my LO. ORL airport staff was great too, easy to get milk through. Although I could never find the aiprort nursing room...
